Here Comes the Romney Veep – And How You Can Help

Mitt Romney will soon announce his choice to replace the hapless Joe Biden as the next Vice President of the United States.  The announcement is a great opportunity to refocus attention on the clear choice Americans face in November, between more of the same from Obama-Biden and a new direction with “America’s Comeback Team.”

I’m in Washington, D.C. today and anticipation of the “veep” announcement here is approaching a fever pitch – it’s expected any day now.

The Republican Party is blessed with a long list of strong leaders who are well qualified to serve as Mitt Romney’s governing partner in the new Republican Administration: Gov. Chris Christie, Gov. Susana Martinez, Rep. Paul Ryan, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Sen. Rob Portman, and many more.

During his many visits with the California Republican Party I got to know Mitt Romney, and I’m 100% certain he’ll choose the right Vice President the country needs to make the big changes needed in Washington for America to get on the path of a real economic recovery.

When the announcement comes it will be a great opportunity for us out in the field to lend our support to the new Republican ticket.  The Romney campaign has already built out a large and impressive organization to support the new Vice Presidential candidate, and there’s much that each of us can do as volunteers to help as well.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

I hope you’ll join me in using your social networks, your email lists, and all your contacts and encourage them to support Mitt and the Republican ticket that will be nominated in Tampa.  The Republican National Convention begins Monday, August 27.

While the Democrats are having all kinds of problems with their convention in Charlotte (can these guys run anything?), the Republican National Committee and the Tampa Bay Host Committee have done a great job setting the stage for what promises to be a great convention.  For a look at the DNC’s long list of problems, read this USA Today story: Troubles Plague Democratic National Convention.

The California Republican Party is encouraging all  58 county Republican committees to hold an RNC Convention House Party during the convention to give all Republican activists, candidates, elected officials, and supporters the opportunity to participate in this fantastic event. The county Convention House Parties are the perfect venue to recruit new Republican volunteers for the Republican campaign in California.  More information on these events will be coming from the CRP soon.

In the meantime, you can encourage your family and friends to sign up for updates directly from the Mitt Romney campaign, the RNC’s Committee on Arrangements, and the California Republican Party.

There is nothing like a Presidential campaign to bring out hundreds of thousands of Americans who are concerned about the future of the country and give them the opportunity to get involved with the Republican Party and put our ideas into action.  This is our opportunity to build the ranks of the Republican Party, elect America’s Comeback Team, and Republican candidates up and down the ticket.
