Sen. Tony Mendoza Resigns While Senate President Presides Over Kangaroo Court

The Capitol cesspool saga adds another chapter in the sexual harassment orgy going on under the dome.

Senate President pro Tem Kevin de Leon lectured Senate colleagues on the Senate floor Thursday about how he would not tolerate the abuse of power in the Senate, during the on-again, off-again session to determine the fate of Sen. Tony Mendoza amid sexual harassment investigations.“We will not tolerate harassment, nor sweep it under the rug,” de Leon said (as I spit my coffee). Earlier in the week, de Leon threatened to expel Mendoza, but many assumed it was an empty threat.

#FauxFeminists in CA Legislative Women’s Caucus Silent On’ Sexual Abuse Charges

With the ongoing investigations into charges of sexual harassment and abuse by lawmakers inside the California State Capitol, there is a deafening silence coming from the Legislature’s Women’s Caucus. Are all of the feminist lawmakers MIA? Why are they silent on the sexual harassment charges against their colleagues? Don’t they care about the victims? The law dictates they must protect the victims, not the perpetrators. But that’s not how the Capitol investigations are being conducted in Sacramento.

Let’s get the skunk on the table: If Senator Tony Mendoza, or Senator Bob Hertzberg, or Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia were Republicans, they would have been expelled by their colleagues on January 3rd. And the Legislative Women’s Caucus would have been righteously outraged; Democrat Sen. Hannah Beth Jackson would have demanded Republican heads on a silver platter; Democrat Sen. Connie Leyva would have demanded more than suspensions; And where is the usually righteously indignant Democrat Sen. Holly Mitchell and her “… Read More

In an exclusive interview to the Flash Report, a California State Senate senior staffer revealed a behind-the-scenes plot to save, or at least continue the Senate paycheck of Democrat Senator Tony Mendoza (Artesia), who in multiple media reports and news articles is alleged to be a serial sexual harasser of women in his own Senate office.

The Senate staffer, who has worked several years in the Legislature under multiple leaders, requested anonymity for fear of workplace reprisals.

Additionally, it was reported Thursday that Sen. Mendoza and a constituent filed a lawsuit against the California… Read More

Politico and Sac Bee Confuse ‘Misconduct’ and ‘Harassment’ With Latest Allegations Against Asm. Cristina Garcia

Thursday it was revealed that the #MeTooMovement may be compromised by one of its leaders, Democrat Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia, after new sexual harassment allegations against her surfaced.

Politico reported:

California Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia — whose high-profile advocacy of the #MeToo movement earned her national media notice — is herself the subject of a state legislative investigation in the wake of a report that she sexually harassed and groped a former legislative staffer.

And a lobbyist,… Read More

Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia bucks the ‘inside the beltway’ mentality

Legislators in Sacramento typically fall in line behind party leadership, but freshman Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia, D-Bell Gardens, appears to have a pronounced independent streak.

I had a chance to talk with Garcia about her experiences as a political reformer, and her recent call for a fellow Democrat, state Sen. Ron Calderon of Montebello, to resign amidFBI allegations of corruption.

Garcia has a solid record fighting political decay. She took on the corruption in Bell, volunteering her time with the city’s recall campaign, which ended with every Bell council member being voted out of office.

Garcia said her co-volunteers then wanted her to run for office.

Running as a government reformer, Garcia beat Democrat Tom Calderon, a former Assemblymanand Sen. Ron Calderon’s brother, in the June 2012 primary. She then went… Read More
