Twisted Eco-Socialism in Sacramento With ‘Free’ Zipcars For the Poor

The City of Sacramento, under the short reign of former State Sen. Darrell Steinberg (D), now Sacramento Mayor, just approved free electric Zipcars for residents of Sacramento’s public housing projects. Wow!

But don’t worry taxpayers – “The program is funded through a $1.3 million grant from the California Air Resources Board using cap-and-trade funds that businesses pay to offset their carbon emissions,” according to the Sacramento Bee. In other words, the money extorted from California businesses for the privilege of being… Read More

Jerry Brown’s Crumbling Road Show and Legislative Circus

Democrats just passed the largest gas tax increase in California history. The deal is so bad they needed $1 Billion in payola to buy enough votes to pass it. And shamefully, only 60 percent of the gas tax collected from SB 1, authored by Democrat Senator Jim Beall (D-San Jose), will actually be used for road maintenance and repairs. Environmentalists got plenty of taxpayer-funded payola as well including money for more public transit, and for walking and bicycling projects.

SB 1 does nothing to relieve traffic congestion or expand highway lane capacity. If Democrats and Gov. Jerry Brown are… Read More

Democrats Are the Reason For CA’s Crumbling Roads

Republican lawmakers, it’s your moment to prove your worth to your constituents. Especially since Gov. Jerry Brown told a legislative committee Monday his $52.4 billion gas tax increase needs to be approved immediately – especially because they have “a governor willing to sign it.”

“All the guys running for governor, all want to be president, so they’re not going to want to raise taxes,” Brown said. “You got a guy who’s going nowhere. I have no future. I only have a past.” Another bizarre statement from Jerry Brown…

The latest bill to dramatically increase California gasoline taxes and car registration fees an estimated $52.4 billion over the next decade should be a career-ending crossroad for Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown, who as a gubernatorial candidate promised that he would not raise taxes without a public vote. Ahem.

That’s just Lie #1. There are so many other lies emanating from Brown’s lips.

However, this latest round of tax increases would not be possible without a feckless Republican Party. Rather than being an effective opposition party, California’s Assembly Republican leadership appears to… Read More

California Senate Passes Unlawful ‘Sanctuary State’ Bill

Democrats in the Senate Monday appeared to be headed for a very public brawl with the Trump administration over passage ofSB 54,by Senate President pro Tem Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles), promoting unlawfulsanctuary city policies for criminal illegal aliens. SB 54would prohibit local police departments and sheriffs’ deputies from assisting Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and enforcing federal immigration laws.

Democrats need to rest and drink plenty of fluids because they have a serious case of “I Hate Trump” Fever.According to the Mayo Clinic, afever is a sign of illness. However, ifthe fever is accompanied by a severe headache, stiff neck, and shortness of breath, a doctor should begin treatment. The Democrat-controlled California Senate exhibited all of these signs Monday while debating why California should become a sanctuary state to offer protections for criminal illegal aliensfrom local law… Read More

John Cox: Putting Citizens Back in Charge of Government

California’s promise of opportunity for everyone has been all but eradicated by gross political mismanagement, political corruption, and watered down representation. It’s time to drain the swamp in California politics.

While California voters overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, when polled, Californians show strong signs of wanting political reform in the Golden State.

They may get their wish if John Cox has anything to say.

Cox, who is running for Governor, and is the author of the… Read More

California Sheriffs Warn Sanctuary State Bill Protects Criminals Illegal Aliens

Senate Bill 54threatens public safety, protects criminal illegal aliens, and puts federal grants for California’s local law enforcement agencies in danger, according to Senator Joel Anderson (R-Alpine), Senator Jim Nielsen (R-Gerber), and three California sheriffs who traveled to the State Capitol Monday to discuss just how dangerous the bill really is.

California Senate Democrats are rushing a bill through to restrict local law enforcement in the state from cooperating with federal immigration authorities on criminal illegal aliens. Why? Out of little or no concern for the welfare of immigrants, most say illegal immigrants are the Left’s most reliable voting bloc, especially in California where illegal aliens can obtain a drivers license and vote.

Despite President Donald J. Trump’s recent warning that his administration will defund Sanctuary cities,Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Léon (D-Los Angeles), the author of… Read More

FBI Called On For Investigation of California Ag Labor Board

Former Senator Isadore Hall, a Democrat who marched with the President of the United Farm Worker’s labor union, and publicly declared his solidarity with the UFW campaign against the Gerawan Farming employees, has been appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown to the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. Hall’s confirmation hearing is March 1.

After losing a race for Congress in November 2016, Hall has announced he will make another run in 2018… while he is on the ALRB?

Much Opposition to Hall’s Appointment

“The ALRB wields extraordinary powers over California’s agricultural workers and growers,” said Dan Gerawan in a letter addressed to the Senate Rules… Read More
