Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg lost control of the Sacramento City Council meeting Tuesday Black Lives Matter activists turned the meeting into a riot. The council meeting was supposed to be an opportunity to address the recent police shooting of Stephon Clark, a 22-year old black male with a lengthy criminal record.

John Moorlach, R-Costa Mesa, authored Senate Resolution 8, introduced to simply welcome newly-elected President Donald Trump and acknowledge the historical peaceful transition of power.
