More anti-Bush Silliness from SF Sups

At the direction of the San Francisco Democratic Central Committee, and following in the footsteps of the Santa Cruz City Council, the San Francisco County Board of Supervisors is poised to pass a resolution calling for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice-President Cheney.  Read the Matier-Ross column on this here or read the resolution for yourself by clicking here (Item #44).

Left-wing supervisor Chris Daly cheerfully told the Chronicle that he was “just being a good Democrat” by introducing the resolution.  Look for other liberal cities to follow suit (the city council of Arcata  passed a resolution in January).  I can’t help to wonder how many Republican-controlled city councils will show that they are “good Republicans” by passing resolutions supporting the White House?  (Zero would be my bet).  The whole exercise is a waste of the taxpayers’ time and money, but that’s what liberals are so good at!

One Response to “More anti-Bush Silliness from SF Sups”

Referring to the Chris Dalys of San Francisco as “left-wingâ€? is akin to referring to Karl Marx and Leon Trotsky merely as “left–leaning.â€? The San Francisco media consistently describes them as lefties, liberals or progressives. Why is the Bay Area Press Corp and now conservative blogers unwilling to call a socialist a socialist? Are they so accustomed to socialism in their everyday work at the San Francisco Board of Supervisors that they don’t consider it worth mentioning?
