The latest round of appointments from Governor Schwarzenegger, through the partisan looking glass:

REPUBLICANS

  • Robert Haga, 35, of Arlington, has been appointed a technical advisor to Commissioner Rachelle Chong of the California Public Utilities Commission.
  • Loren Kaye, 49, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the Little Hoover Commission.
  • Alfred Montna, 61, of Yuba City, has been appointed to the California Bay-Delta Authority.  
  • Julio Soares, 56, of Danville, has been appointed to the Board of Pilot Commissioners for the Bays of San Francisco, San Pablo and Suisun.
  • Christopher Van Gorder, 53, of San Diego, has been appointed to the Commission on Emergency Medical Services.
  • Dale Webster, 36, of Sacramento, has been appointed education policy consultant to the State Board of Education.  

DEMOCRATS

  • Paula Daniels, 50, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Bay-Delta Authority.
  • Nancy McFadden, 47, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the California Medical Assistance Commission.
  • Genevieve Shiroma, 51, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. 
  • Fabian Wesson, 52, of Los Angeles, has been appointed to the California Science Center Board. Wesson is a Democrat. 

DECLINE-TO-STATE

  • Jeanne Clinton, 54, of Berkeley, has been appointed a policy and planning advisor for clean energy initiatives at the California Public Utilities Commission.
  • Harold Lancer, M.D., 53, of Beverly Hills, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Health Professions Education Foundation.
