More Polling in 50th … Datamar’s Latest

Just received this from Datamar:

Democrat Busby Tops 18-Candidates List, But Sum Of Next Four Candidates Exceeds Her Total

Bilbray, Kaloogian, Roach Lead Republican Candidates

San Diego – A poll was released today by Datamar Inc. regarding candidates from all political parties in the 50th Congressional Special Election to be held April 11th. This survey questioned 50th Congressional District high-propensity registered voters — voters who voted in the 2004 Presidential primary and general elections and in the 2002 gubernatorial primary and general elections.

Unlike the survey I noted this morning (see post below), Datamar does ask the obvious question, "If the election were held today, for whom would you vote?":

Busby 36%

Bilbray 11.7%

Roach 11.2%

Kaloogian 10.6%

Orren 5%

Morrow 4.8%

Uke 3%

I’ll stop at that point in the list.  See the entire survey results here.

It’s sad that the Republicans in this race were unable to check their egos. It’s because of this that Busby will mostly likely win this seat. Hopefully the Republicans will be able to regain this seat in November.

Howard is going to pull this out. He has all the hardcore activists and right message for this election.

    Roger:

The top GOP vote-getter on April 11 will face
Busby in a June 6th runoff for the unexpired postion of
the term. Busby is not going to
    get 51% on April 11.

Righto. Jack Orr likened it to a horse race this morning:

“Democrat Francine Busby will get 35%+ votes, and that’s what she will probably get in June. As a contender in this horse race, however she’s like a cute little pony training for the Triple Crown. You have to notice her because she’s leading the pack, but, in political fact, she’s an irritant who is completely out of place. She needs 50% plus one, and that’s not going to happen, not in this race and not in the June General Election. She will run first in a crowded field and win the Democrat nomination in April, but William Griffith (Ind.) and Paul King (Lib) will win their party nomination as well, and like Busby, they are not to be taken seriously. Admired for their courage, but, due to the geopolitical nature of the track, not real contenders. The real race is for the GOP nomination.”
