David Dreier Urges Presidential Pardon Of Jailed Border Patrol Agents

I just saw this on Red County/San Bernardino:

BREAKING – Congressman Dreier Urges Presidential Action On Jailed Border Patrol Agents

Breaking news from Washington, DC:

Just posted on Congressman David Dreier’s official Congressional website, both a press release and official letter in which the Ranking House Rules Committee Member urges President Bush to consider granting an executive pardon to imrpisoned Border patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

The controversial case of Compean and Ramos has generated anger and disbelief among anti-illegal immigration advocates. Many activists, commentators and public officials have called for a Presidential pardon of the two officers, and now Congressman Dreier is officially requesting a review of the case that may ultimatley result in the granting of an Executive Pardon.

It’s amazing what political heat makes politicians do sometimes. Dreier used to be Mexico’s number one cheerleader in the Congress. But now ever since John & Ken’s political human sacrifice & the Congressman’s near political death, he can’t sponser enough pro enforcement/anti illegal immigration bills. Kudos to him for figuring out which constituency to represent. That must have been a bitter pill for him to swallow after all those years of being pro illegal immigration.

I had a chance to speak firsthand with Nacho Ramos’s father-in-law Joe Loya this weekend at the CRA Convention. These agents need to be pardoned ASAP.
