Today’s Commentary: Team Rudy Announces CA Finance Team

I wonder if it is a coincidence that the Giuliani for President campaign has released a list of it’s California Finance Team leaders in the mist of a five-day California swing by one of his opponents, former Massachussetts Governor Mitt Romney.  Below are the Giuliani money folks — FR readers should also mentally ad Bill Simon, who is the State Chairman of Rudy’s California effort, and a rather wealthy man in his own regard…  It is also worth remembering that the Deputy Campaign Manager for the campaign for Fundraising is none other than the Golden State’s own Ann Dunsmore…

I caught up with Dunsmore this morning to ask her about the list of folks below…  Here’s what she said:  "We’re really excited about this outstanding group of leaders that have stepped up to head our Finance Team in California."

"They are actually heading up a large and extensive fundraising network that is an integral part of our state and national finance efforts.  I’ve been very impressed with the commitment of the political donor community to Mayor Giuliani’s campaign — he clearly instills a great deal of optimism and excitement with a great number of people — and moves them to action."

Just what we need, another gun-grabbing East Coast RINO.

I don’t think a single NRA member or CA gun owner – especially after Giuliani’s insulting phone call fiasco, and after his saying that the 2nd Amendment is revocable (“It’s not going to change, unless something dramatic has happened to make it change, and then I’ll explain to you why,” he said.”) will ever vote for this Big Government statist. We don’t need your explanations why you wanna grab our guns, Rudy.

Both Giuliani as well as Romney are dead meat to the thousands of gunnies I chat with. They’ve identified with antigun legislation and groups in the past. I don’t think any East coast mayor or gov will ever be able to get ‘gunnie’ support in forseeable future.

California is already “denied territory” as far as gunrights go (and some CA Republicans did us ton of hurt: Dan Lungren and the disgraced Chuck Quackenbush are hated by politically-aware CA gun owners statewide).

So why would we wish such CA-style idiocies on our fellow citizens of “free states”?

Rudy may have some money, but our vote can’t be bought. For all practical purposes, his expressed sentiments & prior past actions in this arena really don’t differentiate him from Hillary.
