Dave Gilliard — How you can help with the CalCounts Initiative Qualification…

With the importance of the opportunity presented by qualifying and passing the California Counts ballot measure this coming June, we reached out to CalCounts Campaign Manager Dave Gilliard with one simple question — what can our readers do to help.  Here is what Dave had to suggest…

Dear FLASHREPORT Readers,

Do you want to help us make California count again in Presidential elections? If your answer is yes, keep reading.

The calendar, not the Democrats, is our biggest enemy right now. Our goal is to put the Electoral College Reform Initiative before the voters in June of 2008. To make sure we make the June ballot, we need to turn-in our signatures to the counties before Thanksgiving.

It will take an extraordinary effort to make this happen. The Democrats and the mainstream news media say we can’t do it. They also said we could not qualify the recall of Gray Davis. Let’s prove them wrong again.

Here is what you can do to help:

1. Go to www.CalCounts.com and download a petition. (NOTE: The version of the petition at the official California Counts website is the only version approved by the attorneys for downloading. Please do not adjust margins or alter the petition in any manner)

2. Fill in your county and sign your petition and make sure to sign again as the Circulator. If you do not sign as the circulator, your petition is no good.

3. Mail your petition back to California Counts at:  921 11th Street, Suite 400, Sacramento, CA 95814.

4. Send an email to your entire email list, asking your friends and associates to go www.CalCounts.com  and download a petition.

5. Volunteer to gather signatures. In the interest of keeping as much of the money we raise as possible “in the family”, we are paying a “bounty” of $2 for every signature submitted to us by Nov. 19 by a recognized organization, such as a county central committee, Republican Women Federated, CRA, College Republicans, YFRC, YAF, anti-tax groups, etc.

6. Send a contribution of any amount to “California Counts” at 921 11th Street, Suite 400, Sacramento, CA 95814, so we can keep our paid signature gatherers on the streets and our petitions in the mail.

Thank You!

Dave Gillard,
Campaign Manager
California Counts
