When will these special interest groups understand that they must stop looking at just the present and start looking towards the future? If they really want to protect their interest, they would see that a sound, fiscal responsible budget is the only solution. Allowing their favorite legislator to promise them the world, with the only solution to this is passing the problem to future generations. If we can get the budget under control and pull the reins in of our dear legislators, those special interest groups will then know exactly what can be offered to them in a fiscal responsible world.
Okay, I must be dreaming. Won’t happen in Sacramento.
