The Governor Giveth, And The Governor Taketh Away…

Unfortunately we are all used to the fact that when the Governor issues lists of new appointees, it is filled with Republicans and Democrats and people of neither party.  These days, it is not uncommon to see Republicans on the short end when you tally the batch of appointees.

What is not very common, though, is to see the Governor to appoint members of minor third parties.  In the case of today’s appointments, the Governor has appointed a member of the Green Party to a position over at the Public Utilities Commission:

Sepideh Khosrowjah, 49, of El Cerrito, has been appointed advisor for public policy and planning for the California Public Utilities Commission. She has worked for the California Public Utilities Commission as policy advisor since 2008 and was previously senior regulatory analyst and project coordinator for energy procurement proceedings from 2005 to 2008, senior regulatory analyst from 2001 to 2005 and regulatory analyst from 1991 to 2001. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $98,472. Khosrowjah is a member of the Green party.

But I wonder if Mr. Khosrowjah understands that while he can thank the Governor for his promotion, he also needs to thank the Governor for his efforts to eliminate the Green Party from general election ballots in starting next cycle (Prop. 14).

Of course all of us should worry about having people who are, in essence, socialists working at the Public Utilities Commission…

Maybe we should have a resolution saying if a future Republican governor does not appoint 80% Republicans to positions, he or she does not get endorsed for re-election by the state party.

Who cares what party they are? Appoint nonpoliticans with proven, credible business management experience and technical expertise…

There are so many unqualified PC idiots in Sacramento…they must have cleaned out every “esteemed” public school in Califonria to find them.
