COOLEY TAKES THE LEAD BACK!

As we all know, when we all went to bed last Tuesday night, the Attorney’s General Primary between Steve Cooley and Kamala Harris was too close to call.  Since that night, Harris has held a slim lead over Cooley.  Well, not any more…

AG UPDATE – COOLEY LEADS AGAIN!

TO: Interested Parties
FR:  Kevin Spillane, Senior Consultant, Steve Cooley for Attorney General 2010
DT:  November 5, 2010
————————————————————————————————-

The Secretary of State website, last updated at 6:36PM tonight, shows Steve Cooley has once again pulled into the lead for California Attorney General.

Cooley is ahead by 16,095 votes. He has 46% of the vote to Harris’ 45.7% of the vote. Cooley has received 3,502,21 votes to 3,485,926 votes for Harris.

Yesterday, there was a 9,000 vote lead for Harris. The significant counties of Contra Costa, Los Angeles, Marin, Orange, San Francisco, Riverside, Sacramento, Fresno, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Mateo and Santa Clara all posted updates this afternoon (except San Francisco, which was posted yesterday afternoon).

We expect the numbers – and the lead – to fluctuate during the vote counting process over the next few weeks. But this is positive news for the Cooley campaign.
