CD 50 Election Central in SD

See attached invitation below for Tuesday nite Election Central.

This may be the first and last time I do this.  FR Publisher and Big Blogger Jon Fleischman, and therefore his Baby Bloggers like me, have a general rule that we won’t post information in advance of events on these pages…and for good reason.

As Jon puts it, "we have a pretty steadfast policy of NOT promoting events.  The reason is actually very simple.  As soon as I publish something about an upcoming event, or attach an invitation to an email from me as publisher, I LITERALLY get bombarded with HUNDREDS of invitations to events.  Everyone from the State GOP, candidates for state office, federal office, local office, even non-CA events, debates, rallies, women’s fed meetings, etc."

Sounds like loads of fun.  With that said, I am going to make an exception, PLEASE NOTE, in this ONE case only, because 1) there is only one race in town, 2) there is only one election central tomorrow, and 3) the entire wheelbarrow full of Republican candidates in the 50th have been invited and will participate.

Lincoln Club of San Diego ED Chris Niemeyer, in inviting readers of FR to Election Central on Tuesday, is compelling about why folks should attend:

The Lincoln Club and ALL the Republican Congressional candidates together are hosting Election Central Tuesday (tomorrow) night.  (Getting ALL campaigns to agree to participate was no small task, but now that they have confirmed, we are excited and local/national media are pledging to set up shop at this event for the evening to conduct live coverage/interviews/etc.)  This will be nearly exactly as Election Central at Golden Hall would be.  All eyes around the nation will be on this Congressional race tomorrow night and I would love to invite you and your guests to attend – we anticipate hundreds attending … everyone needs to come together, unify around the winner and demonstrate to Busby, the Democrats and the nation that we are resolute in keeping this seat Republican.

There you have it.  Attached below is the invite.
