Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain, Texas, Florida and Temecula Are Evil, That’s What’s Important

What are the Newsom sycophants NOT talking about?

An important question, because over the last two months, all we have heard from the media and the Newsom minions in the legislature is how bad guns are, how bad people who want to protect their children from brainwashing in the public schools are, how crime in other states, particularly red states is, how terrrible Texas and Florida are, how rotten the school board in Temecula is, and how great California is.

Since I used to represent Temecula many years ago, the comments that Newsom directed at the school board members cut especially deep. That school board is made up of parents, who have spent their time trying to fight the crazy schemes of the superintendent of the district and the teachers’ union have concocted, and for their commitment to the kids in Temecula, they have suffered the slings and arrows thrown at them from Newsom, the media and the local union. I have a suggestion…don’t try and sell the children of Temecula to a bunch of left wing activists, just teach them the three Rs. Everybody will be happy, the kids, the parents and the community.

As for Texas and Florida, they are last bastions of freedom in this country, which is why Newsom has spent so much time lambasting them. Newsom’s words regarding freedom in California ring hollow, since the only thing you are free to do here is kill children in the womb, dance provocatively in drag in front of a bunch of elementary school students, steal as much as you want from legitimate businesses everywhere, or set up a tent on any city street and urinate. If I want to feed my family, live my life in peace, or raise my children as I see fit, Newsom has no problem invading my life and demanding that I live according to his warped views of society.

All that being said, it is important to point out Newsom’s political strategy. It is a strategy employed by dictators since the beginning of time. He is slowly destroying California, allowing gas and housing prices to spin out of control, allowing our natural environment, in the forests and fields of the state, to burn out of control through lack of any rational wildlands management system, allow the state to careen through drought to flooding by blocking any sane water management system, and allowing our public schools to collapse by catering to the special interest groups that make money off the system.

But the worst thing he has done in the last three years is take a budget that looked like it was going to have a surplus for years, and turned it into permanent deficits for as long as anyone can see. The state budget is the one thing over which he has complete control and he has completely mismanaged it.

So he deflects and his sycophants in the media dutifully report his deflections as if they really meant something. How penetrating his attacks on Ron DeSantis are, how his gun amendment is so brilliant, how his agenda is standing up for Democrats everywhere, how he has brilliantly played the game nationally to set up his future.

His actions are the that of a dictator. Create an enemy, attack that enemy, and keep people’s attentions on that enemy and away from his failings. And Newsom’s biggest failing is the budget. The Legislature just finished passing a fake budget so they can continue to get their paychecks, and the press mentioned it twice, all the while talking about Newsom’s other, inconsequential activities and his future in the Democratic Party. Newsom took this state from an alleged $100 billion surplus to a $30 billion deficit in one year. A feat of monumental incompetence, and yet the Sacramento sycophantic media are practically silent.

Pay no attention, they are all saying, to the man behind the curtain, as the Wizard of Oz demanded of Dorothy and her fellow travelers in the movie. If you do, you will know the real story, and we can’t have that. California continues to collapse under this Governor and his Legislative minions, who have failed to manage its budget wisely, protect its citizens from thieves and criminals, and protect children from those who wish to exploit them for money or other reasons. Newsom is indeed an arrogant, lazy authoritarian, but more importantly, he is dangerous to freedom and to the American way of life in this state, or in any other should he advance politically.

The test is what is happening on the street. People are leaving this state in droves and going to Texas, Florida and Tennessee. These people know the truth. They recognize Newsom’s clucking for what it is, empty, meaningless, and false.
