Ersatz Governor Brown: “The Plan Is The Process”

Jerry Brown wants a return trip to the Governor’s mansion, where somehow he is going to fix state  government.  Obviously I am biased — I think that Brown’s time as Governor greatly helped us towards the mess we are in now, which I lay soundly at the feet of his liberal colleagues in Sacramento.  These folks have figured out a way to overspend in every direction possible, and over-tax Californians to try and pay for it.  Our current "budget crisis" is due entirely to this situation.  But I digress…

Jerry Brown was on CNBC this morning, being interviewed by Jane Wells. Once again, we queue Brown up for another "you can’t make this stuff up" moment, in which the following exchange takes place…

Wells" "When will we get a specific plan?" [Remember, Brown has already said that his plan won’t be revealed until after he is Governor]
Brown: "The plan is to go over each item in the budget."
Wells: "When will we get it?"
Brown: "That is it, the plan is the process."

(Words within the brackets are added by me.)

You can watch the video clip at the bottom of this post.

What the heck does that mean?  I think maybe what Brown means is that he feels that the process of adopting a state budget is broken.  I think.  But I can assure the ersatz Governor that his Democrat colleagues already go over each item in the budget.  It is the Republicans that are deprived of meaningful input on each line of the budget, which is ramrodded through the budget committee on a majority vote that in no way parallels Planet Earth where it takes a two-thirds vote.

I hate to keep coming back to the same point — but every time Jerry Brown opens his mouth, one is left to conclude that this guy is really not ready for prime time.  It’s like he’s running for Governor as something to do to occupy his time, rather than engaging in a serious endeavor.

Whitman is Goebbels.  My plans are secret til after the election.  I’m sure I sold the state plane when I was Governor (he didn’t).  Now we have: We’ll solve the budget problems by looking at it (the budget) more closely.  Good God.

To raise taxes, fees, neuter Prop 13….take your pick: Progressive Democrat or Progressive Republican….

Facing at least a 19 billion dollar budget problem is daunting….turn out the lights in Needles, Eureka, Indio, Tahoe on your way out of the State.
