The Left Is Rotting From Within

There is great evil afoot in this country. The left is imploding before our very eyes. But it is a rot from within, and it is self-imposed. The Democrat Party has no substantive platform any longer other than obstruction, “resist,” foul-mouthed vulgarity, violence, anger, and excessive whining.

This rot is manifesting itself in some very public displays:

Campus snowflakes are working overtime at colleges and universities across the country to shut down speech. They are rioting, destroying property, and openly fighting professors who’s’ curriculum offends their sense of social justice. If that isn’t enough scurrilous behavior, these pathetic snowflakes are now demanding racially segregated graduation ceremonies, dormitories, and white students and professors are told to leave campuses for a “day without whites.” I remember when desegregation was worth marching… Read More

Hypocritical Leftists Cause Sacramento Brewer to Shut Down

An East Sacramento brewery owner who faced a very public protest of his restaurant after he posted a critique of the women’s march on Facebook, has been forced to closehis business.

Freedom of information, speech and the press is firmly rooted in western democratic thought, and protected by the U.S. Constitution. But in California, apparently that western democratic thought isn ‘t so free anymore.

“I am disgusted at all of the people and politicians that supported this anti-Trump event,” Daniel Murphy posted on his personal Facebook page in January – not on the Facebook page forTwelve Rounds Brewing Company.

“But Murphy’s post about the march was not his only political message,” the Sacramento Bee deviouslyreported. “He has made comments suggesting Barack… Read More

‘Black Lives Matter’ Hijacks Sacto MLK Parade; Media Ignores

As the Black Lives Matter protest in the San Francisco Bay Area on Martin Luther King Day blocked traffic on the Bay Bridge backing commuters up for nearly 45 minutes, Sacramento had its own Martin Luther King Day Parade hijacked.

The annual MLK Parade passes by my house, and through my downtown neighborhood every year. This year, a very large group marching behind the high school marching bands loudly chanted, “Hands up, Don’t shoot.” Led by a woman on a megaphone, they also chanted, “Black lives matter,” and “Hey hey, ho ho, racism gotta… Read More

CA Senate Shuts Down Debate On Vaccination Bill

A mandatory vaccination bill that would undermine informed consent, parental choice, and discriminate against certain California families, was passed by the State Senate Thursday. SB 277, which would end all personal belief exemptions to childhood vaccination requirements, was passed largely on a party line vote, 25 – 10.

What’s this all about? The Disneyland measles outbreak in January was hyped to hysteria thanks to the media. With the United States population at more than 320 million people, and 38 million in the state of California, it was interesting that a handful of pinpointed measles cases caused the Los Angeles Times to place blame on some parents, calling them “ignorant,” and engaged in a “self-absorbed rejection of science,” instead on the real cause. The Center for Disease Control said the viruscame from overseas, carried by a foreign tourist. But the Times Editorial was titled: “Blame Disneyland measles… Read More

Government Shutdown – Day 3

Government Shutdown Day 3: The outcome of last night’s meeting at the White House was predictably poor. It appears that the president called in legislative leaders to tell them for the third time in 2 weeks that he refuses to negotiate or compromise on anything. This is akin to a husband or wife in the middle of a fight in which they aren’t speaking to each other, calling their spouse into the living room to exclaim to them, “I am not and will not be speaking with you.” And, then promptly dismissing them. It is counterproductive.

Back in March, when the “Sequester” first went into effect, you may remember that the president intentionally tried to create as much disruption about sequestration as possible in order to generate public pressure against it. One of his more extreme actions was to furlough meat inspectors so that no meat could legally be sold in the country, while, at the same time, not laying-off a single economist within the Department of Agriculture (note: this department has more economists than any organization on planet earth.) The public saw through this blatant abuse of power, and he was forced to put the meat… Read More

Assembly Speaker limits press access

As the new legislative session began Monday, there was a quite buzz in the Assembly. But it wasn’t just about the many new lawmakers. A rumor was going around that Democratic Assembly Speaker John Perez had ordered the Capitol Sergeants to prevent reporters from accessing Assembly members in chambers.

Then I saw one longtime reporter standing near the entrance to the Assembly floor, where reporters position themselves if they are waiting to speak to a lawmaker. But the Sergeant told the reporter that he could not speak to lawmakers.

“News reporters will be barred from interviewing legislators in the Assembly chambers under new rules ordered by Speaker John A. Pérez before Monday’s first session of 2013,” Jim Sanders of the Sacramento Bee reported. The prohibition is among several rule changes imposed by Pérez that restrict press movement… Read More
