California Gov. Jerry Brown ‘Exit Interview’ is Classic Jerry

At CaliforniaGov. Jerry Brown’s “Exit Interview” Tuesday, the Sacramento Press Club auctioned off autographed souvenirs from his years in the Governor’s office, including cartoons of his budget press conference presentations of charts and graphs, Proposition 30 memorabilia increasing sales and income taxes, and graphs showing state government living within its means. Other charts showed record spending levels.

Gov. Jerry Brown is known for his infrequent and rather unscripted press conferences, often making glib remarks, or quoting Zen Buddhism, Latin theology, philosophy, and “ontology” – the nature of being. Tuesday Brown did not disappoint during his “Exit Interview,” as he prepares to leavethe Governor’s office for the last time on Jan. 7.

California Blue Wave: Will it Lead to Insolvency Faster?

The midterm elections have turned out as most observers expected, nationally, statewide, and in Sacramento. By historical standards, nationally, the Democrats underperformed and lost a number of high-profile races. There was no Blue Wave – more like a blue ripple.

However, California is another story, remaining as blue as can be, and headed right into insolvency. In the contest for governor, California voters chose Democratic politician Gavin Newsom over Republican businessman John Cox, who is not a politician.

Voter’s Take Heed: Gov. Newsom Poised to Make Us All Part Of San Francisco

“Welcome to El Sanfransisco!”

IfGavin Newsom was elected Governor, Californians may end up saying“Welcome to El Sanfransisco!”

San Francisco used to be the gem of the once-Golden State. Today visitors and residents see on the streets squalor, trash, human poop and urine, used heroin needles, rats, and homeless people. The city is even experiencing Hepatitis outbreaks.

Unless California wants this to become the “new normal” for the entire state, a vote for Gavin Newsom for California Governor is a vote forNight of the Living Dead because that’s what is taking over California cities.

Gavin Newsom was San Francisco Mayor 2004 – 2011, during which time he was widely criticized for poor management of his department managers, as well as a massive city budget for only 800,000 people. “In San Francisco, running a city department like a Franz Kafka nightmare… Read More

Padded Résumé, Big Govt Socialist, Jessica Morse is Unserious House Candidate

“I’m not upset that you lied to me, I’m upset that from now on I can’t believe you.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche

It is too badthere is no referee calling fouls and issuing penalties to politicians and candidates who lie. Even today’s political fact checkers aren’t always reliable. So it’s up to voters to sort through the noise.

Particularly noisy is Democrat Jessica Morse, who is running against Republican Rep. Tom McClintock for the U.S. House of Representatives. Morse’s campaign has been fatuous and unserious. Jessica Morse is a study in running a callow campaign, with hertroubled relationship with the truth when it comes to her past, her credentials, and an embellished résumé.

Why is PG&E ‘Clear-Cutting’ City Parks and Private Property?

In addition to the increase in lobbying and money lavished on California lawmakers as they were preparing to vote on a bill to limit Pacific, Gas & Electric’s financial liability in the California wildfires, PG&E has also stepped up its advertising, focusing on all they are doing to prevent future wildfires by cutting trees and bushes around power lines, and cleaning out brush. They are advertising on radio and television about howthe company is setting up special services to deal with weather forecasting and first-responder communications.

It’s Time to Shut Down The Corrupt California Ag Labor Board

Tuesday September 18, 2018 was the day in which the Gerawan Farming workers’ ballots from 2013 were finally counted after being impounded and locked up for five years by theCalifornia Agricultural Labor Relations Board. Overwhelmingly the workers elected to decertify the United Farm Workers labor union from their workplace: 1,098 for “No Union,” and 197 for the UFW.

Sen. Joel Anderson Victimized by Media Collusion, #MeToo, Senate Democrats

California State Sen. Joel Anderson, R-El Cajon, was accused in late August by Stephanie Roberson, a female lobbyist for theCalifornia Nurses Associationlabor union, of threatening to “bitch slap” her and harassing her at a Sacramento Capitol-area bar.

The Senate Rules Committee investigated the incident, and issued their report Tuesday afternoon, complete with a letter of reprimand, and a hearty shame on youto Sen. Anderson for “completely unacceptable behavior.”

It is important to note that nearly every media outlet in California published only the account ofRoberson, despite my interview with Anderson and subsequent… Read More

If Gender is ‘Neutral’ In California, Why Mandate More Women on Corporate Boards?

The California Legislature has passed a bill to require large corporations with base operations in the state to put more female directors on their boards. Democrat Senators Hannah Beth Jackson’s and Toni Atkins’ gender quota bill is illegal, and most definitely a precursor of negative outcomes, as recent history shows.

IfSenate Bill 826is signed into law by Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown, publicly traded companies based in the state, and with operations located in other states, will need to have at least one woman on their boards by the end of next year and, on boards of five or more directors, and two or three women by the end of 2021. Companies found violating the law would face fines.

Lawmakers who are not industry leaders never truly understand downstream consequences of regulations… nor do they seem to care. The bill is also a violation of the U.S. Constitution and the California Constitution..
