Madness on the Berkeley Campus

We all know good and evil, right and wrong.Yet, so few today seem willing to make even the smallest sacrifice to stand for good and what is right.

UC BerkeleyStudent Senator Isabella Chow did, and is paying dearly for it.

I first read of Isabella Chow’s “crime” atCampus Reform, which wrote about her daring to abstain from voting on a symbolic bill that she said would compromise her Christian values. And now more than 1,000 hysterical UC Berkeley students have signed a petition demanding that she resign.

Cowards With Pens, Laptops and Government Badges

The recent Paris World Climate Summit, a gigantic diversion, allowed cowardly world leaders, and the cowardly mainstream media to avoid dealing with the skunk on the table – Islamist Terrorism. The cowardly Obama administration led the way to consensus of an international climate change treaty at the Paris Summit, which will do little or nothing to reduce carbon (also known as plant food).

This World Climate Summit took place in Paris, almost immediately following the November 13 murders of 140 people in Paris, by Islamic terrorists.

The response following the Paris attack, and more recent San Bernardino attack, from the mainstream media, clearly synchronized with the Democratic National Committee, has been woefully ho-hum, demonstrating contemptible levels of cowardice.

And instead of hunkering down and reassuring Americans that our government and military will protect us, Obama shifted his fourth-grade attention span to climate change.

This faux-Treaty will only serve to decrease fossil fuel use in developed countries, while extorting billions more from the pockets of U.S. and European taxpayers, for redistribution to developing… Read More

Election 2014: Democrats Spent Political Capital Without Reinvesting

Democrats lost big in the November 2014 midterm elections. And their money folks lost even bigger. The country’s largest teachers unions spent nearly $60 million of their members’ money on the failed 2014 midterms elections.

What the 2014 results suggest is the significance of electing the first black president no longer applies. And it will not apply again in 2016.

The hysterical racial appeals to cultivate black voters failed. The “War on Women” failed. And that’s all they have. There are no back-benchers for the Democrats right now; they have been spending their capital without reinvesting.

Congressman John Campbell

Lending to European Countries?

Appropriately, there is a lot of focus in Congress these days on Obamacare and the NSA, IRS and Benghazi scandals. But, the failings of this president and his administration are not limited to just those issues. The committees on which I sit have no jurisdiction over any of the aforementioned areas. However, that doesn’t mean we’re not doing anything. It’s just that the work we are doing doesn’t often make the news, except maybe business news like Bloomberg or CNBC.

Yesterday, we had Treasury Secretary Jack Lew testify on international monetary issues before the Financial Services Committee. He is required to do this annually. If you click HERE, you’ll find a short video of the opening statement I gave at the beginning of this hearing.

You will see that although you are not hearing anything about it, the Obama Administration wants to send $63 billion of your… Read More

ACORN lives: The tip of the Obamacare iceberg

One of the biggest reasons for ushering in Obamacare, are the thousands of groups around the country which will be making money off of the government health system. Many in these groups are Washington D.C. insiders, and the politically well-connected, who had access ahead of passage of the Obamacare Affordable Care Act, and seized the opportunity for a little wealth-building.

One such group appears to be Young Invincibles, “a national organization representing 18- to 34-year-old Americans on the issues of affordable health care, employment and college affordability.”

Read the fine print, and the Young Invincibles website also says, “Young Invincibles is a national organization committed to mobilizing and expanding opportunities for young adults between 18 and 34 years of age on issues like higher education, health care, and jobs.”

Its website, Healthy Young America, claims to be part of the group’s outreach. “In some places, Young Invincibles will… Read More
