Gerawan Farm Workers Finally Get Votes Counted to Decertify UFW Labor Union

Tuesday September 18, 2018 was an historic day in California; it was the day in which the Gerawan Farming workers’ ballots from 2013 were finally counted. Overwhelmingly they elected to decertify the United Farm Workers labor union from their workplace.

This was no secret. So why did the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board take five years to count the ballots, after threatening to destroy them?

The final vote count was 1,098 for “No Union,” and 197 for the UFW. “The employees overwhelmingly rejected the UFW as their bargaining representative – by a 5 to 1 margin – in spite of the ALRB’s last-minute, election day refusal to count approximately640… Read More

CA Supreme Court Decision ‘Preordained’ by Jerry Brown

“THE MARXIANS LOVE OF DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS WAS A STRATAGEM ONLY, A PIOUS FRAUD FOR THE DECEPTION OF THE MASSES. WITHIN A SOCIALIST COMMUNITYTHERE IS NO ROOM LEFT FOR FREEDOM.”

― LUDWIG VON MISES

California Gov. Jerry Brown and the Democrat-supermajority State Legislature hold the state Supreme Court’s purse strings. Evidence of this can be found in the MondayCalifornia Supreme Court 7-0 decisionin the Gerawan Farming case.

Unconstitutional Legislation Singles Out Political Enemies of UFW

This is the second part in a series; Part l is here.

California businesses are being targeted for retribution through a bill passed by the Legislature and signed into lawby Gov. Brown October 10, rewriting the definition of the labor rules governing piece-rate compensation in California.

Assembly Bill 1513 unfairly singles out two of the largest fruit growers in the San Joaquin Valley, for discriminatory treatment, based on demands that these two companies be excluded from protection under the bill’s affirmative defense. Both companies are targets of United Farm Workers unionizing efforts.

It is however, a violation of the U.S. Constitution to single out members of a group so as to inflict punishment on them without a judicial trial (United States v. Lovett).

Fowler Packing Company and Gerawan Farming are the victims of an injustice done at the behest of the… Read More

Legislation Targets Political Enemies

The IRS scandal in the headlines for several years revealed the Internal Revenue Service developed a scheme to prosecute conservatives who publicly oppose President Obama’s policies.

California Gov. Jerry Brown and his legislative Democrats have just accomplished a similar scheme with the passage of a bill targeting two large agriculture businesses, which dared to challenge the illegal stranglehold on Brown’s appointed Agriculture Labor Relations Board by the waning United Farm Workers labor union.

Family owned and operatedFowler Packing Company and Gerawan Farming are targets of Assembly Bill 1513, which unfairly carves-out the two employers who have long been targeted for UFW unionizing efforts, from the limited safe harbor provisions in the recently passed and signed bill.

Both large employers and growers, Fowler Packing grows peaches, nectarines, plums and mandarins, and Gerawan grows nectarines, peaches and grapes.

California’s Culture of Corruption Passes Assisted Dying Bill

The California State Assembly passed the assisted suicide bill Wednesday. Itwill be heard next in the State Senate, whichhas also previously passed a prior assisted suicide bill.

The bill passed 42-33 during hours of often emotional versus rational debate… anddespite being revised during an extraordinary legislative session having nothing to do with the bill. The special session was called to address funding health care and Medi-Cal.

However, the bill passed with the help of three Republicans.

Two CA Republicans Helped Pass Revived Assisted Suicide Bill

It’s a dark day in California politics when a bill supporting life is killed before even being assigned to a legislative committee, and a bill pushing assisted suicide gets Republican votes.

Two California Repoublicans helped pass the revived assisted suicide bill, thereby helping Democrats fast track it.

It’s as if some have been reading from Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”

What’s up is down right now in the California Legislature.

“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Alinsky

Murderer Got Death Penalty for Killing Unborn Baby; Why Not Planned Parenthood?

Scott Peterson murdered his eight-month pregnant wife, Laci, in 2002. In 2004 a jury convicted Peterson of first-degree murder in the death of Laci, and of second-degree murder in the death of the unborn baby the couple had named “Conner.”

Pro-abortion advocates have insisted for decades that unborn babies are not alive.

However, Planned Parenthood is now accused of the illegal trafficking of aborted baby organs, following the release of several videos showing Planned Parenthood doctors casually discussing the sale of aborted baby body parts with bio-tech reps. The Planned Parenthood doctors and senior medical directors discussed using “partial-birth abortion” techniques to deliver some of these organs intact, rather than crushing them during the abortion procedure, while they negotiated with bio-tech company reps.

These videos make very clear that the organs and tissue from aborted babies are being treated with the same medical care and precision as still-beating human hearts, kidneys and livers, carefully extracted from recently deceased car-crash victims, which are whisked away in ambulances to awaiting patients.

If Scott Peterson can be… Read More

Farm Employees Want ‘Right-To-Work’ In Union Dominated California

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker recently signed a right-to-work bill into law. This is significant because a“right-to-work” law is a statute that prohibits union security agreements, or agreements between labor unions and employers, that govern the extent to which an established union can require employees’ membership, payment of union dues, or fees as a condition of employment.

In California, Gov. Jerry Brown has ignored thousands of farm workers who don’t want to be unionized. Apparently there is no “right-to-work” in California under this governor.

The significant labor reforms enacted by Walker have struck many important blows against organized labor, effectively ending collective bargaining for Wisconsin public workers. In the four years since these reforms were enacted, the state’s most influential labor unions have… Read More
