Jerry Brown’s Crumbling Road Show and Legislative Circus

Democrats just passed the largest gas tax increase in California history. The deal is so bad they needed $1 Billion in payola to buy enough votes to pass it. And shamefully, only 60 percent of the gas tax collected from SB 1, authored by Democrat Senator Jim Beall (D-San Jose), will actually be used for road maintenance and repairs. Environmentalists got plenty of taxpayer-funded payola as well including money for more public transit, and for walking and bicycling projects.

SB 1 does nothing to relieve traffic congestion or expand highway lane capacity. If Democrats and Gov. Jerry Brown are trying to force California’s middle class out and small businesses, then it’s working.

During a rally Wednesday on the Capitol steps, Gov. Jerry Brown strangely claimed, “This is a fee, a fee for the privilege of… Read More

John Cox: Putting Citizens Back in Charge of Government

California’s promise of opportunity for everyone has been all but eradicated by gross political mismanagement, political corruption, and watered down representation. It’s time to drain the swamp in California politics.

While California voters overwhelmingly supported Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, when polled, Californians show strong signs of wanting political reform in the Golden State.

They may get their wish if John Cox has anything to say.

Cox, who is running for Governor, and is the author of the Neighborhood Legislature, wants to return the California Legislature to the people by increasing representation. Because, for democracy to work, it must be representative democracy. It must be a government of, by and for the… Read More

CA Dams Crumble While Politicians Fiddle in Nonsense

California Legislators and Gov. Jerry Brown think their job is to stay in power, and that bills to further their leftist agenda are the vehicles. The Oroville Dam spillway breakage is proof of this.

While Gov. Jerry Brown and legislative Democrats have prioritized illegal aliens, refugee, inmate sex change operations, building houses for the homeless, transgender bathrooms, climate change awareness, and hiring Eric Holder to undermine the Trump administration, the Oroville Dam was crumbling. And they knew it. The San Jose Mercury News reported the California Department of Water Resources and 27 water agencies ignored serious warnings 12 years ago because they did not want to incur the extra costs. So they said the repairs were unnecessary.

Thanks to record winter storms, the Oroville Dam (north of Sacramento) is nearly full. However, water levels were nearing the top of the dam by last Friday. State authorities and engineers on Thursday began releasing water from the dam after noticing that large chunks of concrete were missing from a… Read More

California Democrats’ ‘Bullying’ and Flagrant Hypocrisy

On December 6, 2016 upon the return of the Legislature and newly-elected members, Sen. John Moorlach, R-Costa Mesa, authored Senate Resolution 8, introduced to simply welcome newly-elected President Donald Trump and acknowledge the historical peaceful transition of power. SR8 said the Senate “hopes for the peaceful transition of power in the United States, that the incoming presidency will be a success, and that the president-elect will take his responsibilities seriously to ensure a strong and unified America.”

SR8 was supposed to be presented and voted on at the beginning of the 2017 Senate Session, during the first week of the New Year. But this congenial resolution message was never given a chance.

Instead on December 6, Sen. President pro Tem Kevin de León, D-Los Angeles, presented and then had the Senate vote on his own Senate Resolution, SR 7, on the day that the Senate was… Read More

Gov. Jerry Brown Talks; President Donald Trump Does

While America’s new President Donald Trump was busy signing Executive Orders to boost energy independence and jobs in the United States, California Governor Jerry Brown was busy promising upcoming battles with Republican-controlled Washington, and used his 2017 State of the State address to double down on California’s regressive “progressive” policies.

On the heels of revealing faulty budget math that resulted in an additional $1.6 billion budget deficit, Brown dug his heels in today and said “California is not turning back. Not now, not ever.”

Senator Moorlach is Capitol’s Adult

Sycophants in the media often refer to Brown as the only adult in the State Capitol, when compared to the… Read More

Jerry Brown’s BIG Green Budget is in The Red

Even with “the most progressive tax system in the United states,” California Gov. Jerry Brown is facing huge deficits, and cannot balance the state budget. The huge $180billion state budget proposal for 2017-18, may be another record budget but for millions of Californians, it’s still record stagnation and less income.

Brown has presented yet another budget fairytale that will have $5.8 Billion in deficits over the next three years – even with the recently passed ballot tax of $10 Billion in new tax revenue. And the budget does little or nothing to pay down more than $240 billion in state debt.

Why? Because personal income tax, corporate, and sales tax projections are down.

“Why are the personal income tax, corporate and sales tax projections down?” you ask.

Because, as I recently explained, “Californians are… Read More

Gov. Brown Appoints Radical Enviro Justice Activists to Public Utilities Commission

Governor Jerry Brown has just appointed two radical environmental justice activists to the California Public Utilities Commission, replacing two commissioners whose terms expired January 1, 2017.

Awaiting Senate confirmation, are Clifford Rechtschaffen and Martha Guzman Aceves — two Brown insiders with shady records and a history of Environmental Justice. They aren’t unknown; bothGuzman Aceves andRechtschaffen have been exposed prominently in articles on this news site, and several others (links below).

Don’t let the term “Environmental Justice” fool you. This “justice” is not about protecting poor and low income communities from excess pollutants or toxic materials; it is about environmental extremists’ scheme to spread wealth through government mandates. Remember President Obama’s… Read More

California’s Sanctimonious Hypocrisy and Legislative Fraud

California politicians and their union bosses lack all shame in their self-enrichment at public expense. Their outrageous conduct has ravaged the once-prosperous Golden State, consigning taxpayers to $1.5 trillion in debt and another $1 trillion in pension debt. Yet the voting public seems oblivious.

The rest of America has watched without much empathy as California’s politicians deal death-blow after death-blow to the once Golden State through insane, hypocritical and often unconstitutional legislation.

California is now the leader of the nations’ high taxes, lousy state services,… Read More
